Hillary Clinton Calls Michelle Obama 'Terrific'

@ 5:14 pm by Andy Barr

Speaking at a forum put on by Emily's List, Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-N.Y.) heaped praise on Michelle Obama.

"Wasn't Michelle Obama terrific last night," Clinton said to loud cheers.

"I know a little bit about the way the White House works and you know if the president isn't exactly on your side, call the first lady. And with Michelle Obama we're going to have someone to answer that phone."

Clinton has been making every effort recently to publicly make nice with the Obama's, reportedly calling Michelle Obama last night to congratulate her on Monday's speech.

When Michelle Obama spoke she thanked Clinton for support throughout the election and for breaking glass ceilings, saying the "days are gone" when a woman could not be president.

  2. I think that Hillary has gained a lot of tack in how she addresses an audience over the years. Look at what she was like when Bill was on the campaign trail. She has a lot of finesse. I do NOT think that she should back down to Obama. She is more the diplomat than he is. I was going to go Hillary, but have decided that I will go McCain instead. The democrats have lost several votes in our household, too bad they had to go with Biden. No amount of trying to convince us, will change our minds. We needed Hillary with her experience, if not her, then McCain with his. The thought of Obama sends a chill up the spine!!

  3. This talk about Hillary's experience is over played. She has been in the senate over 7 years and has NO major legislative initiatives to her credit. She is only good at photo ops and press releases. As a New yorker I have followed her closely and don't see that she has any leadership qualities because she is a windmill politician. She did so many unsavory acts the last time she occupied the White House that she is unqualified to be there again…..
